Dear SMLCS Community,

 

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you.

 

What an unbelievable night our 2026 SMLS Annual Gala and Auction, Disco Fever, was for Saint Michael Lutheran School. Because of the extraordinary love, support, and enthusiasm surrounding this event, this year’s auction was not only a tremendous success, but a history-making one.

 

We are beyond excited and incredibly proud to share that through ticket sales, sponsorships, raffles, and the silent and live auction, our Disco Fever Gala has raised a record-breaking $331,000.00+, the largest fundraising total in our school and church history.

 

That number is amazing, and what means even more to us is what it represents: people who show up, give wholeheartedly, believe in this school, and invest in the lives of our children in such a powerful way.

 

We want to extend our deepest gratitude to all of our sponsors, whose support helped make this evening possible. We are especially thankful for our Diamond Sponsor, The Hawkins-Ciccarello Families, for their incredible support and belief in our school. We are so grateful as well to each of our Gold, Silver, Bronze, and event sponsors who played such an important role in making this night so special.

 

We also want to recognize the impact of our SMLS families. One of the most meaningful and time-honored traditions of our auction is our class baskets, and this year that tradition was stronger than ever. With nearly 100% family participation, this is such a beautiful reflection of what makes St. Michael so special. Even families who were not able to attend still made a meaningful impact through donations, support, and participation. We hope every family knows they were part of this success.

 

Another unforgettable moment of the evening was Fund the Need. Through the incredible response from so many families in the room, an amazing $94,000 was donated toward this effort. Because of that outpouring of support, we will be moving forward with modern interactive boards in every single classroom by next school year. We are so excited to begin this process and to share progress as these boards begin making their way into our school. Because of the overall success of the night, we will be able to fund much-needed additional Chromebook technology and upgrades for our middle school students as well.

 

A very special thank you goes to our incredible SMLS teachers and staff, whose donated classroom, school, and teacher experiences brought so much heart, excitement, and fun to this year’s event.

 

We want to extend our deepest thanks to our volunteers and auction committee, whose time, effort, and love helped make every part of this event possible. From soliciting, picking up, and organizing donations, to collecting and assembling class baskets, delivering pizza to classrooms, helping transform our gym into a true disco party, and stepping in wherever needed, so many people gave so freely of their time to make this event a success. There are simply not enough words to express how grateful we are for every behind-the-scenes contribution. This event truly took a team, and we are so thankful for each and every person who helped bring it to life.

 

A special thank you to Amy Radel for being such a fabulous host and helping the entire evening feel so smooth, polished, professional, and fun. We are incredibly lucky to have her and all that she brings to the event. And thank you to Jason Jones of Big Events Florida for keeping the energy high all night long as an incredible DJ and absolute rockstar auctioneer who had those paddles flying. Finally, a huge thank you to Brooke Moore for her incredible vision and for turning our gym into a full-on disco dream.

 

As PTL, this is exactly why we do this work. We are so proud to have been part of this incredible, history-making night. It is such an honor to contribute something so meaningful to our school, and we are deeply grateful for the trust placed in us to utilize these funds in the best way possible. We do not take that responsibility lightly. We are excited, honored, and humbled to help put these funds to good use in ways that will directly impact our students, our teachers, and our families each and every day at SMLCS.

 

It is such a gift to see the way God continues to bless our school through the love and support poured into Saint Michael.
